To generate socio-environmental impacts and still yield a return constitutes the current challenge of the financial market. Impact investors – companies, organizations, and investment funds – are key players in expanding the frontiers of sustainable development, as they direct capital for socio-environmental technologies in search of innovative solutions.

Although Brazil is the recipient of this type of investment, there is still a lack of well-structured opportunities to put impact investments into practice. Ekos Brasil acts as an intermediary between financiers and developers, aiming to consolidate structure and operate opportunities, as well as to enable the formation of effective contacts between the involved entities.

We currently work in the selection of organizations qualified to receive this type of investment by using the platform and the methodologies developed by Ekos Brasil. We train and monitor organizations in reducing risks and ensuring project impacts, and study technologies and their tendencies to serve as subsidies for transformative initiatives.

Working with Impact Investiment, the Ekos Brasil Institute acts towards the achievement of items 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy, 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities and 13 - Climate Action of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
